Michael F. Lane brings over twenty years of experience working with fee-only and fee-based financial advisors to his role as vice president, Office of the Chairman. His responsibilities include working closely with the chairman, David Booth, on long-term global strategic initiatives.

Prior to joining the Office of the Chairman, Michael was instrumental in developing Dimensional's broker/dealer business, along with having oversight of the bank and TAMP business development. Before joining Dimensional in 2004, he was a director of advisor services at TIAA-CREF. In this role, he was responsible for creating third-party distribution of mutual funds, annuities, and education savings plans, as well as other financial planning and retirement solutions. Previously, he was president of advisor resources at AEGON, where he was in charge of marketing and sales of annuity and mutual fund products to financial advisors.

Michael has published three books, including Secrets of the Wealth Makers, and a number of articles on financial planning and advisory practices. He holds a BA in political science from Binghamton University in New York where he was a member of the varsity tennis team.
